The Anacondas

Interesting shows

If you've read the 'News' articles on our tour you could have guessed that The Anacondas had a rockin' good time.
The other towns we hit after Landshut were Domazlice (Tsjech rep.), Stuttgart, Erfurt (!) and Berlin (!).

Our album Bad Buzz etc.is still in the works and is getting close to it's release. I can hear you thinking: Yeah I heard that one before. But now we really mean it , honest.

We also got some interesting shows comin' up like the Godzilla soundtrack show in Amsterdam. Yes, back again by popular demand.
And The Anacondas will play at the infamous Sleazefest in Wijk Aan Zee. Yes, finally!
But first we're gonna play right at the beach of Castricum this friday. Giving the shore and the audience the soundtrack it deserves.

In memoriam: Gonzo (The Pastrellis) and Kees Kousemaker (Lambiek).

Landshut, Germany

Landshut is an old town in the middle of Bayern. The city centre is very well concervated with real nice houses in all kinda colors and a church in art deco/jugendstil style or whatever you wanna call it. After a pint of the local brew it seemed we were walking around in Disneyland.
We played at the Wintergarten, a music pub that looked like a classy night club. After some delicious Thai food we hit the stage. It was a small crowd, 50 people showed up, but that is not too bad for a monday night. We played 2 sets, 1 and a half hour in total, and the public just loved The Anacondas. It was nice to see all these smiling faces. We got a lot of attention, people were dancing and cheering and we almost were'nt allowed to leave the stage.
We just had a lovely breakfast at Kasi's (Wintergarten promoter) appartment. German breakfasts are great.
Later on today we're gonna leave for Tsjech republic.

Chemnitz, Germany

After we left Lubeck yesterday we were heading for Chemnitz.
We had no show yesterday night, but the fine folks of Subway to Peter helped us out providing us an appartment to sleep and they gave us a lot of beers too. Thanks Subway!
Though we didnŽt play any music, we did play a stupid card game (zwikken) Jack Stuka taught us. Needless to say there was some money involved and guess who was the big winner: Jack of course.
This morning we had a great breakfast at our friend SebastianŽs (vocals/guitar for Calaveras) new apartment.
Calaveras have a brand new CD out too. I havenŽt heard it yet, but Woody made some illegal copies, so I guess weŽll be listening to it in the van while on the way to our next gig in Landshut, were weŽll be playing tonight.

Lubeck, Germany

Howdy folks, here's a little tour report from our trip through Germany.
Yesterday evening we arrived in Lubeck (north Germany) to play at the annual May party.
The first of may is a holiday in Germany, so lot's of people showed up at the festival, which had a lot of diversity.
There were reggae, punk, electro bands and of course a great surf band: The Anacondas. The show went very well and it was great to see so many people had a good time during our set.
We also met Manna, an old friend from Amsterdam who's living in Lubeck now. Though she is expecting her second child any moment now, she still went to the show to check us out for 15 minutes or so.
Right now we are hangin' out at her place in the historical centre of Lubeck. We are trying to find a last minute gig for we have no show tonight. But the wheather is fine and we are very relaxed so we just see what's gonna happen.
